Ghanaian music sensation and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mzbel Music, Belinda Ekua Amoah, otherwise known as Mzbel has revealed she still hasn’t recovered from the trauma she went through in the hands of some armed robbers in the year 2006.

It will be recalled that the ‘Edey Be’ singer, who is known for dressing in skimpy and short dresses in her music videos and on stage, was robbed and allegedly raped in September 2006 at around 1am. The robbers were subsequently arrested but later broke out of jail.

In a recent interview on Joy Prime’s Celeb Biz  with Amelley Djosu, the entrepreneur stated that she still has Post-traumatic stress disorder from the attack that happened years ago.

According to her, she had to go through some form of counselling after the incident as well as seeing a psychologist once in a while. However, she has not totally recovered from the attack despite the counselling.

”When I was attacked by armed robbers at home, yes, that really affected everything. So, I had to go for counseling. I had a psychologist I went to see once in a while. And till now, I haven’t been able to get over it. When night falls, I want to make sure doors are locked, burglar proofs are intact, electric fences you know…it’s not easy, I mean it is not a good feeling,” she said.
