The School Management Council’s (SMC) Chairperson for Yirenkyi Krom M/A Basic school, Madam Victoria Agyemang says their wards classrooms has now turns into ponds for goats and other domestic animals.
According to the Chairperson, one of the classroom’s wall develop some cracks which was impeding teaching and learning due to the degree of the cracks.
She said the issue was reported to the Municipal Chief Executive of the Kwahu South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Atta Ofori Senior who ordered the Assemblyman Incharge of the electoral area Hon. Isaac Amoako aka one dollar to facilitate pulling down of such edifice and in turns Himself and the Assembly will be providing cements and other building materials to rebuild a new classroom block for them.
To their amusement, gave a handsome applauds and hip of Blessings to him and the assembly, but for some months now, the promise has not yet fulfilled leaving the classroom as a pond for goats.
She is therefore appealing to the MCE, the Ministry of Education and the government of Ghana to come to their aid.
The SMC Chairperson further emphasized on lack of teachers in the school, therefore pleaded with the Ghana Education Service to provide them with teachers to aid in teaching and learning at Yirenkyi Krom M/A Basic school.
She said, parents has been charged to pay Ghc 25.00 every month as a result of paying salaries of Four (4) teachers employed by themselves.
