The integrity of the road has been heavily compromised exposing commuters to danger.
The Ayensu river has overflowed its banks causing a devastating flooding at Gomoa Okyereko in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region. The flooding has occurred as a result of the diversion of the natural course of the river by the contractor working on the Kasoa-Winneba road expansion. So far 150 houses have been flooded while three have totally collapsed displacing hundreds of residents.
Large acres of rice, vegetable farms as were as fishponds have also been completely inundated throwing farmers into possible huge losses.
