Over nine hundred names are allegedly missing in the Electoral Commission data base in the Upper West Region.
The Deputy General Secretary of the
National Democratic Congress Mustapha gbande has indicated that over nine hundred names are missing in the data of the Electoral Commission. The NDC says they have observed that the deletion of names is a calculated attempt by the Electoral Commission give advantage to new patriotic party in 2024 general election.this was reveal by the deputy general secretary Mustapha Gbande made this known at press briefing in Wa.
The NDC Deputy General secretary Mustapha Gbande has been monitoring the ongoing limited registration exercise in the Upper Region.
According to deputy general secretary the Electoral’s Commission suggestion that registration is normal across the country thus pointing at Jirapa and Nadowli – Kaleo districts as where registration is difficult for the people and mentioned particularly Nadowli where one machine is use with a population of over thousand four hundred people as the threshold for one or more machines and and alleged that over nine hundred names have also been deleted in Nadowli registration center and one hundred twenty three at Wa central centers were without information to stakeholders.
The NDC has been since been calling on the Electoral commission to establish the truth or otherwise of the deleted names and explain same to the generality of Ghanaians but the EC will not heed to their call.
Briefing the press NDC deputy General Secretary said over nine hundred names have been deleted from EC data base and
mentioned that in the Nadowli/Kaleo district and over 120 names deleted in Wa central data base and the electoral commission could not find any information for the Ndc .
