Ghanaian singer, Fameye is sending a stern warning to musicians to be wary of managers who seek their own popularity at the expense of their welfare.

In a Facebook post today, August 14, the Nothing I get singer asked artistes to be careful not to sign wrong deals with such managers who are devils but come in the form of angels.

“If you are an artiste and your manager wants to be a super star than you? Be careful, is either you signed a wrong deal or a Devil came in a form of an angel (sic),” he posted.

Fameye’s post comes in the wake of the perceived bitter turned relationships between artistes and their managers which have become a subject of discussion in recent times.

His call may probably be a wakeup call to his colleagues to be mindful of the kind of managers they settle to work with to prevent any future grudges.

Born Peter Famiyeh Bozah, Fameye, who participated in season three of MTN Hitmaker reality show is best known for his single “Nothing I Get”.

He won the Best New Artist of the Year at the 2020 VGMAs and he had earlier told Graphic Showbiz in an interview that it was challenging for him to combine his style of music with others on collaborations.

“Every musician has their style and there are times I get features which don’t tally with my style. It might not be my song but my image will be part so we both have to work it out. But if I suggest and you want to be stubborn, I’ll just allow you to go. At times, I charge outrageous fees just to turn down offers,” he told Graphic in an interview in 2020.
