Bulldog slams Dr Awal and Okraku-Mantey for failure to make impact in the Creative arts sector
Artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog is pissing in hard at the Minister of Creative Arts and his deputy, Mark Okraku-Mantey for their failure to make any impact in the sector.
Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal and Mr Mark Okraku-Mantey who are the leaders of the ministry according to Bulldog have not contributed any significant initiative to the betterment of stakeholders in the creative arts industry.
Bulldog who changed his name to Bullgod made these bold observations when he showed up as a guest on Showtyme with Andy Dosty.
“This is the second time we have had a creative person in government and I cannot recall what he has done. I am a number one critic of Catherine Afeku but I can tell you she did better than Mark Okraku-Mantey,” Bullgod told Andy Dosty on the show.
“I don’t know what they go and do in that office, I don’t know if they have a voice and are considered as people in that position. We expect inclusiveness of the whole body. I don’t have all the answers, but I am expecting Mark to know the job… I am not the one to show him, I respect him as an individual but as a minister, he hasn’t done anything.
The former artiste manager of controversial Dancehall act, Shatta Wale was worried that despite the duo being in office for close to 3 years, they had neglected their duties and not been able to initiate any important project like in the case of their predecessor.
“He has been in office for 3 years. For the first four years, Catherine was on, doing stuff. I kicked against her AFRIMA initiative because we gave out monies to Nigerians… What has Dr Awal done?” he quizzed.
Reacting to certain promises made by Dr Mohammed Ibrahim Awal including the establishment of five multipurpose domes for entertainment events and national cultural activities, the vocal pundit described it as nine day wonder
“Where are the amphitheatres? They promised last year and up till now where are they? Let’s be serious and that is what saddens my heart,” he pointed out.
Bulldog was of the view that the citizenry were not angry enough despite taking care of government appointees who failed to do their jobs from our taxes.
“We have not asked anyone to promise us theaters. That is insulting and disrespectful. We are the ones looking after them. We are the ones taking care of them with taxpayers’ money. They are government appointees,” stated Bulldog “The most important and valuable thing in life is time. We are all going to die, so we don’t have time. We are not angry enough in this country.”
Gospel Singer Joe Mettle Donates and Fellowships with Flood Victims of Mepe, Volta Region
Joe Mettle has extended his support to the victims of recent devastating floods in Mepe, Volta Region. This benevolence act, which serves as a beacon of hope in these challenging times, is part of his annual “Love Gift” initiative, where he visits communities, fellowships with them, and makes generous donations.
The renwoned gospel artiste, known for his soulful music and philanthropic efforts, donated essential relief items and spent quality time in fellowship with the affected individuals. The donation included camp tents, food items and provisions, clean water, clothing, and medical supplies, aimed at providing immediate relief to the victims who have lost their homes and belongings in the flood following the Akosombo Dam spillage.
In addition to the material aid, Mettle also spent time in fellowship with the victims, offering words of comfort and encouragement. His visit brought smiles to many faces, as he shared prayers and sang gospel songs, lifting the spirits of those present.
Mettle expressed his deep sympathy for the victims and urged others to contribute in any way they can. “It’s a difficult time for those affected by the floods,” Mettle said. “Through the ‘Love Gift’, we hope to provide some comfort and help them get through this challenging period.”
