Gyakie added ‘spice’ to my album – Patoranking

Nigerian reggae-dancehall artiste and songwriter, Patoranking has shared insights into his experience while creating his upcoming album which boasts a diverse line-up of artistes from a great mix of backgrounds.
The upcoming album titled ‘World Best‘ features notable contributors such as Ludacris, Nigeria’s Vict0ny, Jamaican legend Beenie Man and Ghana’s own Gyakie, among others.
In an interview with JoyNews‘ Becky during his private listening session in Accra, Patoranking described the album-making process as a challenging but ultimately enjoyable endeavour.

“To be honest, I enjoyed every process, from production to recording to everything, it was all fun,” the dancehall singer said.
Speaking on his collaboration with Ghanaian ‘song bird’ Gyakie, the ‘No Kissing Baby’ hitmaker said that her involvement was a natural and effortless decision, humorously referring to her as “Jackie Chan,” to showcase their dynamic collaboration.
“You know there is something special about Gyakie and we needed that spice, and trust me, it wasn’t a difficult situation or decision when we said Gyakie.”
“She just went in on the song and boom! Done,” the artiste said.
The dancehall singer also said working with the American rapper Ludacris, was an amazing experience as the rapper and his team were very supportive and willing to collaborate with him on his album.
The singer also revealed that he featured the American rapper on his song “Miracle Baby”.
Furthermore, Patoranking revealed that his roots as a traditional man raised in the ghetto inspired him to infuse elements of highlife, which he fondly terms “Galele,” into his album.

Amerado shares inspirational journey behind lastest song ‘Kwaku Ananse’

Ghanaian rapper, Amerado, has recently shared the extraordinary story behind his latest track, ‘Kwaku Ananse’.
According to him, the song’s inspiration stemmed from the O2 Arena saga, and his dream is to support his family.
In an engaging interview with Giovani and AJ Sarpong on #3FMDrive on Tuesday, September 12, Amerado was asked about the inspiration behind the song.

He candidly revealed that he didn’t write it down, as he’s not versed in the art of songwriting.
Instead, he creates music based on his emotions, producing sorrowful songs when he’s sad and upbeat tunes when he’s joyful.
Amerado added that he had prayed to God for a hit song every year, and he hoped this would be the one.
When queried about whether he had meticulously planned the song’s creation, Amerado responded with a remarkable revelation.
He unequivocally stated that the song’s emergence was not a result of meticulous planning but rather a “miracle”.
Amerado went on to disclose that, for the first time in his career, he humbly knelt down and fervently prayed, seeking God’s assistance in creating a hit song. This revelation underscored the profound connection between his faith and his music.
The rapper revealed that he recorded ‘Kwaku Ananse’ just a day before his journey to Kumasi.
As he drove to Kumasi, he tuned in to the song and felt its emotional impact deeply.
Currently, Amerado is actively promoting this latest masterpiece.
This revelation provides a unique insight into the spiritual and creative process of a rapper whose faith plays a pivotal role in his musical journey.

Wendy Shay to be flown to Germany for extra health care – Bullet

RuffTown Music CEO Ricky Nana Agyemang aka Bullet has disclosed that the label is planning on flying their signee Wendy Shay out of the country for medical care.
Survivor hitmaker Wendy Shay last Sunday was involved in an accident on the Kwabenya Road.
Though the car being used by the musician got damaged, she and her Personal Assistant who was in the car managed to survive the fatal accident which could have claimed their lives.

Wendy was rushed to the hospital for treatment and she has been on admission from that day up until today.
Her Manager and CEO of the label Bullet in an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty disclosed that the musician suffered a fractured nose while her PA got away with minor injuries.
He added that Wendy is doing very well and would be discharged from the hospital, they are planning on having a serious check-up on her.
Speaking on the next action to be taken by the label, Bullet disclosed that they(the label) are putting things in place so she is flown to Germany to receive extra medical attention from the professionals there.

never thought I would get married– KOD

Ghanaian broadcaster and fashion designer, Kofi Okyere Darko, popularly known as KOD says he never really considered marriage while growing up.
Speaking on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, he disclosed that he did not want to let go of his freedom.
“I didn’t ever think I will get married, I like my freedom,” he said.

The fashion designer said that growing up, his parents were permissive, which gave him the space to make his own choices with parental guidance when needed.
“My parents were not hard on me, I didn’t have a regimented life, just live your life, as in when you went wrong, they would correct you.”
“Forever I wanted to just be in the air and fly like a bird,” KOD said.
He revealed that he married his current wife, Ophelia Crossland due to the influence of his sisters and friends.
According to him, anytime his friends met him and Ophelia, they always complimented on how they would look good together.
“My sisters were really part of it and my friends, everyone who met Ophelia was like charlie this is your wife,” he said.
KOD who also doubles as the CEO of the clothing line, ‘Nineteen 57’ said that his wife has been very supportive and influential in his life.
“She has changed me in so many ways, as growing up she has taught me to be subtle in the things I wear.”
“You know that saying, behind every great man there is always that woman, I don’t know if because she is not so tall, but she is right behind me and you can’t see her but she is the one who pulls all the strings, keeps me very grounded,” the CEO shared.
Kofi-Okyere Darko is the founder of the annual fashion and music event, Rhythms on Da Runway.
He won the 2015 Most Stylish Radio Personality of the Year at the Glitz Style Awards.
He was also nominated Male Fashion Celebrity Icon of the Year at the 2016 Ghana Fashion Awards.
