Here’s what Sarkodie spent on his Casablanca outfit for his VGMA performance

The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards night was shaping up to be lacklustre with uninspiring performances and subdued reactions from the audience. Then Sarkodie took the stage injecting new energy into the event with his hit songs, clad in a sleek and stylish ensemble from the Paris-based luxury brand, Casablanca.

The menswear brand is known for its emphasis on minimalist yet high-quality pieces that embody both comfort and elegance.

As one of Ghana’s top musicians, Sarkodie knows that the right outfit can elevate his performance to the next level and it sure did as social media quickly googled their ‘Landlord’s drip’

The classic white two-piece suit featured intricate embroidery at the lapels, with a matching white shirt underneath. Sarkodie completed the look with white Jordan sneakers, black sunglasses and a few hand jewellery.

But the question on everyone’s mind is, how much did he spend on this outfit?

According to Farfetch, a British-Portuguese online luxury fashion platform that retails the blazer, Sarkodie spent a whopping GH¢ 13,306.42 (approximately $1,130 USD) on this outfit.

While some may baulk at the high price tag, Sarkodie has always been open about his fashion spending habits and the lyrics in his popular hit single, ‘Illuminati’ makes it evidently clear.

“Sammy Forson, you better do the talking, ma ɔmo te aseɛ cash ahi aa me spendi just on shopping” a famous line in the song alludes

And it’s clear that his investment paid off, as he looked sharp and confident on stage.

Whether you’re a fan of his music or not, there’s no denying that Sarkodie’s outfit was a standout moment at the VGMA.
