Ghanaian-British musician and entrepreneur, Fuse ODG who continues to be a champion for Ghanaian music on the world stage has said that people need to put more effort into patronizing the local sounds.

He was speaking in an exclusive interview on the 3FM Drive on Wednesday, April 12 when he made the submission.

Fuse ODG has been vocal about promoting Ghanaian culture and music and has been a strong advocate for the idea that Ghana’s unique culture and self-belief are key to its success in many areas, including attracting visitors to the country.

“Of course bro, we have to push ourselves. We have to build ourselves. We shouldn’t wait for other people to and now the reason why other people are coming to Ghana is because we believed in ourselves. Honestly, we need to do the same with the music,” he submitted

The Ghanaian Tourism Ambassador also noted that while Ghana is doing well in terms of attracting visitors, there was still work to be done when it came to harnessing the many opportunities to benefit everyone, especially the local community.

“People knew that this is the place to be at Christmas. We just need to make sure that we all benefit, and the locals benefit. Things don’t get harder for the locals,” he reiterated

Fuse ODG was named as part of 30 cultural ambassadors appointed by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017 to promote Ghanaian tourism and cocoa to the International community.

Agya Koo, the late Nana Kwame Ampadu, Okyeame Kwame, Van Vicker, D-Black and many others were also outdoored as Cocoa and Cultural ambassadors for Ghana
