The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has given notice to all members of the Eighth Parliament on the commencement of the Second Meeting of the Third Session.

Members are scheduled to resume sittings on Tuesday, June 6.

The Speaker gave the notice on Friday, May 19.

It is in pursuance of Standing Order 37 of the Parliament of Ghana.

Parliament went on recess on Friday, March 31 after a long night, approving three tax bills.

They were recalled earlier this month, precisely on Tuesday, May 2, to consider some loan agreements.

Resumption of the House on June 6 will see the swearing-in of the new member for Kumawu Constituency as by-elections are due to be held on Tuesday, May 23.
