I have been on TV for 22 years; I don’t allow what people say bother me – Nana Ama McBrown

Popular Ghanaian actress and TV host, Nana Ama Mcbrown has spoken out about how she handles criticism and negative comments from the public.
During an appearance on the Day Show with Berla Mundi on TV3, McBrown revealed that she has been on television for 22 years and has learned not to let people’s words bother her.
McBrown, who is known for her energetic personality and entertaining style, has been a mainstay on Ghanaian television since the late 1990s.

Over the years, she has hosted several popular TV shows, including the popular talk show, “The McBrown’s Kitchen” and quite recently “Onua Showtime with Mcbrown
During her interview with Berla Mundi, McBrown was asked how she deals with negative comments and criticism from the public.
In response, she stated that she has developed a thick skin over the years and has learned to focus on the positive feedback she receives from her fans.
“Berla I am a grown woman, have been on tv for 22 years and I am going to my 23rd year. I don’t think anything someone would say right should be a problem for me. And that is why mostly I don’t respond to issues when they mention my name. There are certain things I just brush them off. I have my problems, some are family problems but I don’t allow them to affect me,” she explained
According to her most of her critics were oblivious of who she was and so she hardly paid attention to the verbal attacks and aspersions that were cast at her on the Internet.
“they don’t know what they are talking about, they don’t know me and they don’t know who I am. Truthfully, the good people, the wise people and genuine people won’t attack me just like that. they can accuse me of not doing something right but it’s like they’re tuning me to get it right, I understand and agree but if you make it look so hateful that means you have a problem, she stated.
McBrown has also in the past spoken about the importance of having a strong support system, both personally and professionally. She credits her husband, Maxwell Mensah, and her family for helping her stay grounded and focused on her career goals.
The interview with McBrown comes at a time when she’s been attacked and maligned by other media personalities and fans after she left UTV and joined Media General in what has been considered, ‘The biggest media move of the decade’
Despite this, McBrown remains optimistic and focused on her goals. She believes that with hard work, determination, and a positive attitude, anyone can achieve success in their chosen field.
