Tems and Burna Boy make iconic Met Gala debut

The annual Met Gala, with this year’s theme honoring the late design great Karl Lagerfeld, has drawn the whole fashion industry to New York City once more.

Attendees were invited to dress in honour of Karl for this year’s theme, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.”

This year, for the very first time, two African music royalty were invited to the prestigious event.

Burna Boy and Tems were both seen on the red carpet representing the continent.

Tems made a statement with a handmade Rober Wun dress that featured an elbow-length pair of gloves and a flowing, regal white finish at the bottom, styled by Dunsin Wright.

Burna Boy also wore a checkered outfit and a generous cape-like extension of the same material flowing behind him.
